Fundraisers
The Ivy Foundation of Hampton, Inc. engages in fundraising to provide funding and support for scholarships as well as other programs and initiatives in education, the arts, health, economics, and the family. Donations are also given to charities that provide programs and services that address issues such as poverty, hunger, disaster relief, improving peoples health, and providing shelter.
Fundraising programs are ongoing. Some of the fundraising events we sponsor are:
- Annual Donor Campaign
- Fashion Show
- Dine with the AKAs (various restaurants)
- Quilt Raffle
- Holiday Poinsettia Sale
- Painting with the Pearls
- Partners in Community Service Awards Luncheon
- HBCU Day Party
The proceeds raised by the Foundation are used for scholarships to deserving high school seniors graduating from the four high schools in Hampton, Virginia and students who are already in college. The Foundation has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships since its inception in 2005. Proceeds are also used to provide other community services through Gamma Upsilon Omega Chapter and a number of charitable organizations.
Ivy Foundation is currently raising funds that will (1) enable us to continue awarding scholarships to deserving students and (2) provide funding to help meet the needs of citizens in our community. Donations are requested to assist us in these endeavors.
